CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS
-
If a team is stacked with all higher-skilled players, then lower rated teams will eventually grow discouraged and quit. For the overall health of the league, we’ll need to set some limits. Using APA skill levels, a team cannot exceed 15 points with the 3 members who are playing on any given night. Using Thursday night handicaps, a team cannot exceed 24. Use the most restrictive of the 2. To allow for possible increases of skill levels during a session, captains should try to recruit a couple lower rated players. This gives the team more flexibility when threatened with exceeding the set limits stated above.
- The league will pay the annual membership dues of those captains whose team: 1) consists of at least 4 members; 2) remains active for at least 2 sessions of the calendar year; 3) doesn’t drop out during a session.
REMINDER
- Be sure to also complete the membership application if you haven’t already.
