How much does it cost to play in this BCA Pool League? is it a good value?
- The annual membership dues are $20 which run from January 1 to December 31.
- The weekly fee for game night is $8 per player.
- The rates are cheaper than many of the other local leagues and the payout for prize money is quite generous.
What are the main differences between the BCA Pool League and APA?
- Call your ball and pocket; no slop shots
- Table is still open after the break
- Cannot win or lose on the break
- Scratch on the 8-ball is not a loss unless the 8-ball is pocketed
- No timeouts or coaching
- Different skill level and handicap system
- Scoring is very simple
- Round-Robin format is an option
- Yearly membership fee is only $20
- Opportunity to compete in the Las Vegas World Championships without having to win higher level tournaments
What sets the BCA Pool League apart?
- The League Operator is given a wide range of freedom to run his own league.

What is a 3-player Round-Robin format?
- Each player on a team plays every player on the other team, once.
What are the advantages of a 3-player team over a 4-player team?
- Easier for a captain to build a team
- Matches go faster: 9 games vs 16 games
- Less time waiting between games
- Faster matches allow for 7:30 start time
- Able to finish matches before closing time (Pickle, Eagles, etc.)
- Allows for the possible option of a single’s tournament afterwards or even a “Double Jeopardy” format
I am not a seasoned player. Is the BCA Pool League a good fit for someone like me?
- Absolutely! We use a handicap system that helps to level out the playing field.
- Playing in a league is not only a fun time, but will help you improve your game as well.
What is a "Double Jeopardy" Format?
- Teams play a Round-Robin 8-Ball match and a Round-Robin 9-Ball match on the same night.
- With a 3-player team, this amounts to a total of 18 games (6 games per player).
- Typically, this would take about 3 hours to complete on one table. However, often times, two tables are available.
- Even though 2 full matches are completed, the weekly fee for each player remains the same.
May minors participate?
- Yes, as long as the venue allows them entrance
- Currently, this is limited to the Eagles in Huntington
